Owners were incredible hospitality was unbeatable. Little extras like afternoon tea, cake, internet all made this very memorable. They also helped my wife take photos with sheep to make our honeymoon memorable

We liked the place and savoury and nice hot breakfast in it.
was an excellent home base for trip. the stay here was pleasant during my visit. the room was comfortable quiet and well-organised, especially a pleasant view of the mountains from the window. the room had tea, coffee, thoughtful tea making facilities, and a lounge. the staff was helpful and excellent and the host too. the location was wonderful - close to which again was a wonderful surprise and clifden castle. furthermore, in the outskirts of clifden.

Recommend it for couples
We were genuinely welcomed by the host and the homemade cake during check-in was a real treat! The breakfast served was out of this world, a true feast to energize us for the day ahead!
It wasn't inexpensive, but I guess nothing in life is free, right?

Excellent greeting. It was our only B&b that greeted us with tea and a snack. The pancakes rocked our world!

Place was well presented and quaint, enjoyed the stay.
The property was tidy, the room was comfortable quiet. Everyone was helpful as well as host. I booked a room with an extremely comfy bed, tea, coffee, tea-making facilities, and a lounge area.

The place had creaky floors that interupted my sleep, quite a dissapointment. It was also a bit cramped for two people, though i guess some might find it cozy. I woudl ve been more impressed if i had received an upgrade, but apparently that's not how they treat guests here.

I think first impressions are important and in this regard the buttermilk lodge scores highly for cleanliness and friendly hosts, the breakfast was excellent with buffet plus menu, I especially liked the fresh coffee and topping it up with a fresh pot through your breakfast, well done
